Tuxedos Vs. Regular suits

For that special occasion wedding grooms prefer buying their apparel either by themselves or with the help of their best man. Some grooms ask their fiancées to help them to get that perfect attire. Some men prefer wearing tuxedos and some regular suits. Tuxedos are generally worn for formal weddings. Tuxedo jackets are generally black or dark blue in color. These are usually single button, and are worn with matching pants, a bowtie and a cummerbund.  A regular suit can be made up of any fabric, with any color or pattern. Suits come in many different cuts and shapes, and can have as many as three buttons or less. Many people are confused as to whether they should wear tuxedos or regular suit for their wedding ceremony. Many people do not buy tuxedos as it is very formal for many occasions. Being very expensive, many people don’t buy tuxes. Grooms generally rent a tuxedo from a tuxedo shop. If your wedding isn’t a formal affair, then wear a regular suit. If you wear a suit for business or religious occasions, you might consider purchasing one.

For that special occasion, along with the tuxedo or suit, accessory also has to be selected. If you prefer wearing a tuxedo, a bowtie will go well along with it. If you’re buying a regular suit, take a look at a wide range of ties. If you prefer a sophisticated look, then go in for a skinny tie. If you want a little more fun, try a tie with an attractive pattern, or one that matches your wedding colors.

Single breasted tuxedos are more casual, while double breasted tuxedos are reserved for very formal occasions. The type of tail to be used in tuxedo is also important to consider: Some events require full tails, while others call for different types of tuxedos with a more casual look. If a person attends a daytime event before 4.00, daytime tuxedos are appropriate. Daytime Tuxedos are usually dark gray in color and have stripes as well. Black tuxedos should not be worn during the day, as they are meant for formal evening events. Daytime tuxedos do not have full tails, and are single breasted with shawl or peak labels.

If you’re attending an evening event, what type of tuxedo you have to wear depends on the event, whether it is an ultra formal or a formal event. For white tie events, plan on wearing the most formal tuxedo possible. For black tie optional, lean towards a more casual single breasted tuxedo with no tails. Whether you are buying or renting tuxedo, it is better to lean in the conservative direction.
