A Decided Heart

Posted: Apr 10, 2010 |Comments: 0 |

Decide today what you want for tomorrow and stick to it. Have a decided heart and your destiny is assured. Leaders make decisions quickly and change their mind slowly, followers make decisions slowly and change their minds quickly.

Napoleon Hill states, 'indecision is a habit which usually begins in youth. The habit takes on permanency as the youth goes through graded school, high school and even college, without definiteness of purpose.' People who are indecisive are always influenced by other people's opinions and this has a compounding effect upon self esteem. self confidence, life direction and any change which inevitably occurs in your life. If this mindset has stopped you from being adventurous or trying new things, you are not being true to yourself and most likely missing out on many wonderful experiences.

This is your life and it doesn't matter what other people think of you it is what you think of yourself, you have to live with you so be responsible for your actions and decisions assume responsibility and stop worrying what other people think.

Give purpose and direction to your life. Have a vision of your life and what you want it to be.You have a brain and your own mind so use it to your full advantage. Gather the required knowledge and decide what path you will take. At times you will need to outsource information from other people to enable you to make an informed decision, that is normal, but do not disclose your purpose if you know you will be influenced by their opinions. Effective listening allows you to gain information/knowledge appropriate to making a good decision. Some decisions are easier to make than others you must seek the knowledge required and make an informed decision, have the faith and confidence to follow through with your decision and stay true and strong to yourself.

Without vision and purpose you are wasting your life away and merely existing. Be decisive and take action today. You have to be strong and courageous, there will be difficult times ahead, we all know that worthwhile success does not come without suffering, mistakes will be made from bad decisions but that is part of the journey, as long as you learn and grow from these experiences and make the required changes to maintain the path to your success.

Live your dream, not someone else's sometimes people are so conditioned to stay in the square they forget how to dream big enough. I challenge you to think outside the square, dream big and take charge of your life, stop settling for second best, believe in your vision and make it burn brighter every day by taking decisive action toward achieving your goal, but, most importantly have faith and believe in yourself, because you are worth it, and go for it
