In just seven days you can sharpen your brainpower to Mensa levels. Not only will you boost your IQ but you may well find that you actually live longer and experience better health.

Our brains are capable of creating new neurons in just one week and getting the right exercise along with eating the right foods can improve this production even more. Fish oil or vegetable oils with high omega components have a very beneficial effect on our brain health. Ginko is well renowned for stimulating memory. Try the following 4 exercises to stimulate your brainpower.

Learn a task list of 10 jobs that you need to do today. Incorporate these tasks into a route whether it be walking or driving so that each task is connected to a particular location. Learn this route by heart. Now ask yourself the following questions: What task follows dropping the kids at school? What task comes before buying the newspaper? What is task number 6? Where on the list is your doctors appointment? The next day increase the list of new tasks to 20 and so on.

Walk around your house wearing a blindfold and then sit somewhere and visualize the route you took and all the movements you made. Alternatively you can put 12 objects on a table and memorize their position. Then ask someone to move a number of them and try to guess which ones have moved. This will heighten your spatial awareness.

Your mathematical ability can be improved substantially simply by adding up the grocery bill while you wait in the check out queue. Estimating numbers of people or trees as you go through your day will also keep your mind active and increase its capacity.

Finally increasing your word power is easy by playing online anagram games or by learning a new word each day. Be sure to try to incorporate new words into your days conversations.

Simple changes can also promote a rewiring of your neurons. Try brushing your teeth with your other hand or doing something like taking a shower with your eyes closed
