How To Celebrate Life Each Day

Life's winners deal life positively, sending vibrant and enthusiastic energy. And it is no wonder that they're happy and rays of joy radiate from their faces. However, there are some of us who are pessimistic and look at life with knitted eyebrow and have that glaring enviousness in their hearts. They treat life with hostility and hatred, as if they have an axe to grind against the world. And what they see are only the ugly side of life.

Life is indeed a celebration. It's a pity if one misses the joy and celebration of living and the gifts of heaven that shower upon us every day. In fact, being alive is already a gift and worth celebrating for on the opportunity that we can greet the breaking of a new dawn and still savours the beauty of the universe.

There are just people who are short-sighted in appreciating the beauty of life. Some people are so good at envying other people that they miss out on what they have or who they can be. They simply cannot celebrate life and the wonder of themselves. Don't be like them. You are the child of an abundant cosmos. You can be everything you wish to be. You are exceptional and unique. Instead of envying others for what they are and what you are not, a state of mind that leads only to debilitating immobility or destructive jealousy, rejoice instead in what you are, celebrate in what you have and what you can be.

To celebrate life each day, try the following 7 simple ways and observe how it works wonders in your life:

  1. Have an inspiration-filled or get-up-in-the-morning words habit.  Every morning upon rising from the bed I always say to myself, "This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it." I repeat it aloud for a couple of times or just think it quietly. I let it sinks into my subconscious mind until it vitalizes me to welcome the new day with a celebration in my heart. You can also make your own get-up-in-the-morning words. It doesn't need to be sound biblical as long as it is something that gives you inspiration and motivation to start your day. Words have a tremendous effect in our lives. It can make our day as we speak or affirm it to be. The book of proverb clearly says it, "Death and Life are in the power of the tongue."
  2. Being grateful is a form of celebration.  We have so much to be thankful for. Thank the taxi driver for bringing you home safely, thank the cook for a wonderful dinner and thank the guy who cleans your windows. Also thank the mailman for bringing you your mails, thank the policeman for making your place safe and thank God for being alive. The more grateful you are, the more the abundant universe will give you things to make you more grateful.
  3. Avoid pessimistic people. As you go through the day don't let negative people ruin or stain the celebration in your heart. Pessimistic people only see the dark side of life and never the bright side.
  4. News is stressful. Get less of it. Some people just can't start their day without their daily dose of news. Try and think about it, 99% of the news we hear or read is bad news. Starting the day with bad news does not seem to be a sensible thing to do. Instead, try to listen with soothing sounds. It can really brighten your day.
  5. Avoid exposure to negative elements like loud noises, toxins and hazardous places. These will sip your energy to enjoy and celebrate life each day.
  6. Laugh and laugh heartily everyday.  Heard a good joke? Tell your friends or family about it. As they also say -'Laughter is the best medicine'. When you laugh, one substance in your brain will be released that is therapeutic.
  7. Express your feelings, affections, friendship and passion to people around you. They will most likely reciprocate your actions. If you are just observant to life, you will only receive what you give. It is a law that cannot be defied.

These are just few simple ways you can do to celebrate life each and every day.
