Some questions to ponder:
What activity is most fun for you? What lifestyle do you want? If money was not a issue what business would you start? What are your hobbies and special interest?
Placing goals in your life gets you closer to what you want to achieve. Have a clear path and then a vehicle (plan) to drive down will settle all the self-confidence doubts in your mind. Writing goals does not have to be intimidating. Ask yourself this~ What is a goal if I were to achieve it? Would it put me 1 year ahead? What would have happened?
Consider these goal setting techniques:
- Sit down and set free days. Write out your 5 goals. Any more than that you will feel overwhelmed.
- Set goals in an environment away from your office. You are more likely to break out of the box (insights, breakthrough thoughts).
- When setting goals use 3x5 cards and sort them in order of importance.
- On the back of the 3x5 goal cards write a positive affirmation to keep you motivated.
- When setting goals ALWAYS have at least 1 happiness, 1 health and 1 wealth.
Feeling overwhelmed? Have to many goals? Take your goals that you have written on a sheet of paper and give them a time frame of when you need this accomplished. Then write them on 3x5 cards and sort by what is more important. Apply the rule of 5. Apply 5 action steps everday to achieve that particular goal. What are 5 ways to accomplish this goal?
Having the action behind all your goals will keep you inline and able to put together all the puzzle pieces and move faster through and accomplish more with JOY. Believe in yourself, trust your abilities, choose your battles and use YOUR resources.
