The difference between the Coaching profession and Therapy.

The Coaching profession is spreading rapidly around the world, and helps millions of individuals and businesses to achieve their goals.
Although the coaching profession deals with many areas, it tries to remain out of the internal issues, the clients past, and the origin of problems.
There is a very thin line between the coaching profession and therapy, coaches, clients and prospect clients should all know the difference between them.
Within the code of ethics of INNER-VIEW co it stats that coaches should always be on alert for stepping out of rule.
There are many differences between the coaching profession and therapy.
Here are some:
Therapy Coaching
Therapy’s main Focus is on healing and fully understanding the client and his past. The coaching profession focuses on evolving and manifesting the client potential.
Explores genesis and origin of the believe system and behaviors that cause low self-esteem. Explores actions and behaviors that manifest high self-esteem and confidents.
Works mainly on internal issues. Works mainly on external issues.
Is problem oriented. Is solution oriented
Long term of treatment Short time process
Emphasizes the past and present. Emphasizes the desired future and present.
Is insight oriented. Is action and "being" oriented.
Uses questions as "why, and from where?" Uses questions as “How” and “When”
Some can prescribe medication. Not allowed in any circumstances to prescribe medication.
Can be conducted with out a goal. A process driven by a defined goal.
Where there you are a coach or a client, if you find yourself questioning
The manner of your coaching process, raise the issue with your client or
Coach, in order to reach an informed agreement that best serves the client’s interest.
