Continental Coffee…Where do you want to Sip?

I like my bacon British, my wine Italian, my Guinness Irish and my furniture Swedish. But where do I like my coffee to come from? If I stop to actually think about it… I have no idea where my coffee originates… Starbucks maybe??

As ignorant as it sounds I just walk into by local coffee shop order a latte to go and give very little thought to where my coffee beans actually come from, but we should all be asking the question: “ Where was this coffee grown?” We like to know where our meat was produced, where our clothes were made and where our books were written – so why should our coffee be any different?

Colombia, Kenya and Costa Rica are three of the top suppliers of coffee beans, with all three of these countries doing a fantastic trade in caffeine. You might also be surprised to learn that it’s not only high street coffee shops that supply great tasting beans from all over the world… coffee machines are now BIG business and as such source freshly roasted coffee beans from these top destinations in order to supply us the consumer with a great tasting café latte.

A company I came across called Flavia are really keen advocates in the fresh is best movement… this desktop coffee machine manufacturer have introduced a great filter pack system which keeps all their coffee at it’s optimum best, protecting it from any air or moisture that could ruin that rich coffee taste. Good for them…but even better for us.

Flavia as well as other coffee machine manufacturers pride themselves on sourcing coffee from the best growers and master roasters from around the world. So rest easy in the knowledge that you don’t need to book your next trip to co-incide with safari season in order to enjoy a quality cup of coffee. With today’s drinks machine manufacturers sourcing quality ground beans you can enjoy continental coffee from the comfort of your office or from the cosiness of your kitchen! So what are you waiting for… ‘sip’ back and enjoy!
