Enjoy The Benefits of Drinking Decaf Coffee

Have you ever asked yourself the question do I drink coffee because I love the taste? or do I drink coffee because I love the buzz it gives me? If you have and the answer to any of these questions is yes but you find yourself rolling in bed trying to get some sleep or feeling some kind of anxiety after a cup of your favorite Italian ground coffee then you really should consider opting for decaffeinated coffee.

If you are a real coffee lover you will probably turn your nose up at the thought of switching to decaf coffee and it is true that decaffeinated coffee usually loses some flavour compared to normal coffee whilst undergoing the Swiss water process that removes the caffeine from the raw coffee bean. But it really is only a small amount and if the taste of a good coffee is what you love then I would challenge anyone to tell the difference purely on taste profile between two identical beans after roasting one with the caffeine removed and one which had not. So don't dismay, you can still have great coffee even if it is caffeine free.

So what about your health, it has been reported that if you drink more than 3 cups of coffee a day you are at greater risk of developing High Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure and Coronary Artery Disease not to mention the effects of caffeine if you are a pregnant woman. With these risks alone it should certainly make you consider the switch to decaf coffee.

I personally had no choice but to turn to decaffeinated coffee after suffering a long bout of panic attacks, which were heighten by my intake of coffee. As caffeine cause the fight-or-flight reaction within the human body natural defenses.

The effects of stopping my caffeine intake were noticeable immediately, I had a full 8 hours sleep for the first time in years, my palpitations stopped, and I no longer have the constant jitters.

As a result of this, I have spent many years searching for that perfect decaf coffee and can recommend a number of great decaf blends that you really should try if you, like me, are over stimulated by the effects of caffeine or are caffeine sensitive.

One website I particularly like for its wide range of decaf coffee is www.coffeebuyer.co.uk, they stock a couple of great decaffeinated coffees that I love. One of which are decaf coffee beans that you really should try: Cafe Rovi Decaffeinated Coffee Beans and the other is a great filter coffee: Taylors of Harrogate Decaffe Ground, both give a great coffee drink that will not disappoint.
