Vending Machines

There are many benefits to using vending machines in the modern workplace. These machines can be used to provide basic facilities such as tea and coffee and also snack items including sandwiches, fruit, cakes and crisps.

No More Tea Clubs

Many businesses only provide basic facilities for employees such as a kitchen spaces and drinking water. It is then up to the staff themselves to organise any additional refreshments. Traditionally tea and coffee clubs were set up but unfortunately these can cause a lot of arguments and dissatisfaction among teams. Inevitably there will also be people using more of the tea and coffee than they have paid for and somebody will have to spend a lot of time getting the milk, sugar and tea/coffee supplies. To save all this hassle more and more companies are turning to vending machines. This is a cost effective and efficient way to provide tea and coffee not just for employees but also for guests. Companies can decide whether to provide these vending machines free of charge or to impose minimal prices per item.

Choosing the Right Vending Machines

If you are thinking of providing vending machines on your business premises then you need to consider what type of machines would be the most appropriate for your requirements and budget. Tea and coffee vending machines can vary dramatically in price per cup depending on the range and quality of the beverages supplied. You should check with staff what sort of service they would like before you go ahead and sign any contracts. Installing a machine providing fresh sandwiches may seem like a good idea but you need to make sure people are going to actually use it. Otherwise you could be stuck with an expensive vending machine that never gets used and lots of unnecessary wastage.

Contracts

Vending machines will be supplied by the provider on a contractual basis in most cases. You will need to look carefully at each contract provided and see if they can suit your needs in terms of cost and length. You may need to stock the vending machine yourself by ordering new sachets of tea and coffee or the machine provider may have to visit your premises to carry out this task for you. Look at what sort of machine best suits the amount of staff you have and the machine usage levels that can be expected. You will have a big problem on your hands it the machine is constantly running out of tea and coffee and your contract does not allow you to arrange more frequent deliveries of supplies.

Vending machines cut costs, improve productivity and save a lot of time and hassle whilst still providing your employees and guests with the refreshments they need.
