President Obama is a man with a mission. His mission is to make the adults of America educated and employed. Obama has always been public about his views on how the growing concern of unemployment is strictly resulting from poor educational access in the country. Working on his long-held belief that educated citizens make a powerful nation, he has started to make sure that more and more people are getting chance to study.
The stimulus package was just announced. In this package Obama has announced a whooping $10,000 in yearly scholarship for mothers who wish to continue their studies but find it difficult due to lack of funds and time to attend classes. President has taken care of both these problems now.
The sum of up to $10,000 that is being offered to American mothers towards their educational expense can actually be spent on their basic needs, such as paying for electricity and gas bills, childcare, utilities and food, etc.
Along with the money, the President has also ensured flexible study timings for mothers. He has asked all the universities that are a part of his 'Scholarship for Mothers' program to launch new online courses that a mother can easily pursue from her home computer. This will especially help all those mothers who can't leave their young ones on daycare or babysitters.
The process of applying for this grant is real simple. A mother just needs to select the courses and academic institution of her choice, enroll there, fill the FASFA form along with the college enrolment form and then wait for approval.
