Education and Career in India

India is a developing country but with a lot of education and career opportunities. The education system in India today has changed a lot from what it was in ancient India. There are so many schools and colleges spread all over the country providing quality education to Indians and to students from outside India. The entire face of the Indian education has changed a lot due to globalization. Private schools are the most sort after schools by the parents. The Indian Government is increasing the process of education system in India. The Right to Education Act, passed by the Indian parliament, gave Right of Education to all children. Education is given top priority by the Government and you can find some of the world's best educational institutes in India like Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Management, and various top class universities. There are many International schools in India, providing global education for NRI students. Some of such schools are the American school, Dhirubhai Ambani Academy of Education and Mahindra Academy, offering foreign courses in India. Literacy rate keeps increasing year by year in India and according to the 2009 census the male literacy rate was 75.85% and female literacy rate was 54.16% with Kerala state having the highest literacy rate.


The education system in India includes primary education, secondary education, higher secondary education which is Plus 2, then three years of graduation and 2 or 3 years of post graduation. The Indian education structure is referred to 10+2+3. There is a choice between State syllabus and Central syllabus or CBSE.

Career prospects in India are also high. You can find a lot of career prospects in IT industries, Journalism, Gemology, Bio-informatics, shipping etc and the animation industry is growing tremendously and specialization in animation, graphics and multimedia offers high paying career options. Engineering courses in various fields like electronics, civil, mechanical, aeronautical, industrial, computer, environmental, marine, textile and architecture has prospects of getting highly paid jobs in various companies and industries both private and Government.

With vast development in the automobile, construction, healthcare, IT, media industries, pharmacy companies, telecommunication and transport industries in India there are thousands of job opportunities for deserving candidates. There are sales jobs, executive jobs, marketing jobs, finance jobs, It jobs, nursing jobs, hotel jobs etc. Most of the jobs especially in multinational concerns are so highly paid with perks and incentives. According to a recent report, about 3.5 lakh people are estimated to be hired by Indian firms by June 30th with high increment raise by the pharmacy companies.

There are various recruiting firms in India, where you will be given proper guidance and placed in various companies based on your qualifications and experience. But now with the introduction of the Internet, job finding is much easier than it was before. There are so many job search websites where you can find a suitable job by just clicking the mouse.

The pace of job creation is increasing day by day in India and new jobs are being created everyday and new employees are being recruited. With about 347,463 jobs being added by June end this year, it won't be difficult for job seekers to find a suitable job.
