Pell Grants - An Introduction

Posted: Oct 02, 2009 |Comments: 0 |

Moms who want to take care of their kids often miss out on some of the chances other women have. They spend so much time and money taking care of the kids, the house, their husband, it sometimes seems like they never have the time or the money for anything else.  Lucky for those where money isn't an issue, others have seen the problems, and there are now quite a few scholarships for moms that take away at least part of the problem. For example, president Obama recently increased Pell Grants to $5500 for mothers. This is such an excellent opportunity for mothers who have little money and less time. Since the Pell Grant can be used not only for traditional schools, but also online degrees, moms who are time-stretched can take double advantage of this opportunity by staying at home and finishing up their education.

Pell Grants are available to anybody who meets the income guidelines-even if they're already employed, it makes absolutely no difference. If you need to work to keep your family together, this is an excellent grant for you, stay at work and use the grant to move your (and your family's) future closer. This is just an example of the opportunities available out there. With such excellent opportunities available, it makes no sense to stay at home and watch the years pass by. Today, you can take care of your family and prepare for your life when they grow up and you want to return to work.
