Posted: Jan 09, 2011 |Comments: 0 |

According to a survey conducted in Nov. 2010 by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), a body that organizes GMAT, a B-school entrance test on world level, India is the at 4th position for the management courses in the world after Canada, which stands at number 3.

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) have already established themselves as the most prestigious business schools of the world. Every year, thousands of students line up for management admissions in any of these institutes.

IIMs conduct a Common Entrance Test (CAT) as its admissions procedure, which is considered to be a herculean task. Besides the admissions procedures, one has to clear Group Discussion round with good scores to secure a seat in the most prestigious business schools of the country.

Apart from IIMs, there are several Government and Private Universities, which invites applications for Management Admissions and consider the same CAT scores to select candidates. Xavier Institute of Management, IIPMs, Delhi Universities, Mumbai Universities, SP Jain Institute of Management & Research (Mumbai), Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (Mumbai) are few of the destinations. Indian Institutes are setting benchmarks every year with their students securing many of the high-status positions in Multi National Companies in the world.

In addition to Management Courses, India Institutes have also earned accolades in offering globally recognized Engineering and Medical Education to students.

Engineering Admissions in India: IIT, AIEEE, GATE, and AICET are some of the exams that are conducted on national level in India for engineering admissions. Besides these, there several other exams, which are conducted on state level and for specific colleges including REE, BHU, JNU EEE and NIT.

Medical Admissions: CPMT and AIIMS are the most prominent entrance exams for medical admissions in the country. There are hundreds of world-class institutes in the country, which rigorously prepare students for these entrance examinations.
