4G Wireless: The Future of Internet for Today’s College Students

College represents one of the most exciting times in a young adult’s life.  It represents the first step towards adulthood and forging one’s individual identity and path.  It also represents a major shift in lifestyle, as students from all across the country each fall move out of their childhood homes and into large dormitories. Gone are the days of strict rules, curfews, or groundings.  Once at college, students learn to take responsibility for themselves and their actions.  Students also must learn to develop new habits to fit into their new daily routines.

Gone are the days of waking up to the smell of mom’s fresh blueberry waffles, or taking a break from studying to meander over to the kitchen for a steak dinner.  At college all students experience the same freshman ritual, the cafeteria.  Preferences quickly adapt and students learn the best tricks and rules for ensuring that they receive some sort of nutrition their first year.  Another major routine change is related to prioritizing and organizing one’s academic schedule.  Freshman year brings a whole new level of freedom from that experienced in high school .  Without rigid rules, students may choose from a vast array of courses, according to their interests, and , of course, the times at which they begin in the morning.  During freshman year, students also learn that there are no more doctor’s notes or sick days; one must take responsibility for their own schedule.

In addition to class attendance norms, studying habits also change drastically in college.  While for years students had access to any quiet room in their parents’ home for study purposes, they now must make the trek to the university library or a local WiFi café in order to have space to successfully study.  While this study routine shift may sound simple enough, it can be quite stressful during busy midterm and final exam periods.  During exam times, it seems as though all of the campus is suddenly looking for a place to work just as you have only a few hours to find somewhere to finish your paper or cram for the test.  Finding an empty study spot at the library or one of the few internet cafes can be quite difficult and can serve to compound the stress of the exam period itself.

Luckily for today’s college students, modern technology has given way to a new kind of internet access that will help to not only de-stress exam periods, but will surely help to increase any student’s productivity throughout the school year. 4G wireless internet is a revolutionary, new kind of internet service.  Unlike cable or dial up connections, 4G gives subscribers internet access that is essentially portable.  With a subscription to 4G, you gain an unprecedented level of convenience, as you can access the internet anywhere within your city.

Wherever you bring your laptop, whether it be a location with WiFi access or not, you will be hooked up with high-speed internet access.  For students, a subscription to 4G means an end to hours spent trying to find a location to study or write during exam periods.  With a subscription to 4G wireless internet, students can work wherever they feel most productive, whether it be under an oak tree in the park, at a local cafe, or in a friend’s apartment.  Thus for freshman entering college next year, consider investing in the most useful school supply ever invented, consider investing in a subscription to 4G wireless internet.
