Deep dent in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) urgently needed

Many sciences are playing direct or indirect role to elevate and enlighten human generation, the sciences do have impact to improve, innovate, coordinate and balance human environment including surroundings like entropy includes both system + surroundings.

Information and communication technology-ICT is not able to ignite and trigger fundamental breakthroughs for living; real problem designing and solving thought processes among users, especially youngsters.  In case of the ICT industry, the process of development of software and implementation are in hands of few millionaires where there is a big gap between users and the developers of the technology. Presently the ICT is being offered like a Tiffin box of lunch. At required time and place the Tiffin box is opened and food is eaten and after finishing food, the user goes for routine scheduled assignments.

        On the other hands, comparatively the learning and working at Universities and colleges is remained within the reach of common students where the students do experiment and gain not only confidence but have hands on apparatus with which they generate lot of knowledge and prepare useful resource materials for phenomenon. For example, the students perform acid (HCl) and base (NaOH) titration preparing acid aqueous solution like 1N HCl and base solution like 1N NaOH. The preparation itself infuses a learning and confidence gaining process. The students use analytical balance, take readings of weights in Grams, milligrams and even in nanograms, titrate solutions with phenolphthalein as indicator.

        During this process the students learn about how to develop a recipe of any specific products like drug. They also can come to know glassware, lab environment and assisting accessories within the reach of the learners. After knowing the equipments or weights, the students learn a lot about the molecules or chemicals substances. It gives them a practical solution of their inquisitiveness to learn sciences which inculcate a solid background among the students to learn sciences and ignite fundamental interest to not only solving the scientific problems but also offers appropriate skill to general novel knowledge or IPR. For example, Mansingh Survismeter, a practical and commercialized product for measuring surface tension, interfacial tension, wetting and dewettiing coefficients, viscosity, dipole moment and friccohesity is example of such ground level work in the lab.

        The more exposure to implicit attribution mode makes one confident to new scientific discoveries, to move forward from Lab to Land mode to help society. The students in lab fill the burette with NaOH solution and HCl in the conical flask (CF) and add 2/3 drops of the phenolphthalein as an indicator in the CF, initially, the CF solution is colorless. However, the phenolphthalein is fully mixed. Thereafter on addition of certain amounts of NaOH to CF, generates color which gives a thrill and working confidence to the students. They develop working and problem solving aptitude to accept challenges.

        Thus the present science learning is based on arrangement, organization and execution of the experimental task, which gives solution finding strength like determination of composition of the HCl solution. Thus the science which is within the reach of the students is most effective and productive by all ways. These operation and workable exercises, infer that if working exposure in wholesome manner is provide then it becomes very is useful. Theoretical explanation could be given to the students but it is not effective to ignite hidden potential of the students like match stick on rubbing with one surface of match box ignite fire.

Though the match stick has antimony + phosphorus metals but on rubbing gives fire. The unfortunate situation of ICT is that computer wares, laptops, wifi, cell etc are solid machines which are manufactured by big companies and few get exposure while others are theoretically using for calculation without involving mind boggling exercise. In fact computers and cells etc are seriously affecting memory power and specially writing habit of students.

        The grammar which is a base of each science is missing in ICT. Just like in mathematics, a log of any number needs base without which log calculation can't be done. Similarly base of ICT is required to be in hands of the common people as sciences students do monitor and gain insight of science instruments. In mathematics, logarithm of any number to a base is power to which the base is raised to produce that number. For example, the logarithm of 1000 to base 10 is 3. Here the 3 is a power raise on 10 to produce 1000 as 103 = 1000.

         In log form, it denoted as log101000 = 3. Thus as the log can't work without base number, similarly the ICT is required to have visible base with the users then only, the ICT would be able to ignite fundamental interest or dig a deep dent for reviving the sinking memories and problem solving faculties among the students. Probably among the ICT using students stamina is not being built and whenever they are exposed to slightly adverse situation they opt for suicide. Thus an approach is urgently needed that strengthen their bearance and build capacity like logb(x), a general formulation is constructed by students themselves using the logarithm of x to the base b or, if the base is implicit, as log(x).

         Thus for a number x, a base b and an exponent y could be explained easily. However, such easily workable and operational trains are missing in ICT. Only number x is displayed on monitor screen with several variations that too with operational knobs as provisions in several ICT gadgets like computers, cell and similar others. The real sciences are also required so that it can expose students and learners to do some mind boggling operations.

       The bases used most often are 10 for the common logarithm, e for the natural logarithm, and 2 for the binary logarithm. The use of logarithms to facilitate complicated calculations was a significant motivation in their original development. Logarithms have applications in fields as diverse as statistics, chemistry, physics, astronomy, computer science, economics, music, and engineering.
