International Calling - How much are you paying?

Most people when dialling abroad tend to use the service that they know simply for that reason; it's what they know! However, they often waste a fortune by not searching around for the best deals out there.  There are a number of telecommunication companies that provide great deals on Cheap International Calls from as low as 1p per minute, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allowing customers to make huge savings. The question is; how many people actually search for these deals?

Let's say for example your car insurance was up for renewal, surely you wouldn't just take the first quote that comes along!  You would use a comparison website to search for the best deal. It's the same with your gas or electricity supplier, you wouldn't just take the first supplier that looks ok, well I hope not, but would hopefully search for the best deal that best meets your needs. Using search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask often turn up some of the cheapest International call providers.  However, they don't provide a comparative list showing all the cheapest call providers in one place. There are a number of websites out there that do provide a comparative list, highlighting the telecoms companies that are providing the cheapest rates to various destinations. They are simply listing what they found at that particular time to be the cheapest in the market. That's why it's always a good idea to double check the information or visit the site and double check the rates and terms and conditions before using a service.

The are a number of factors that influence the current rates charged for making an international call to a particular country, which can make the rate go up or down.  Some of these factors include, the current exchange rate i.e. the strength of the dollar, pound or currency for that country. Another thing could be the stock markets and the stock exchange or a countries current global position in import or export trade.

It's a very competitive market with lots of providers out there with many different options available.  Some services include, a pay monthly service where you pay a monthly fee for a set number of minutes each month. There are calling cards that give you a set number of minutes on a prepaid card. There are Dial Around Services where you make your international call through a company and your call gets routed through their portal so they pick up the cost of the call rather than through your normal telephone provider.  These are just a few of the options available and like anything you want, be it a service or a product, it's always worth searching around to see which company offers the deals that best meet your needs.
