Mobile Recruitment Is RED Hot

Posted: May 02, 2011 |Comments: 0 |

An exciting initiative from Red Energy's recruitment division will go live this month with the launch of a pro-active attraction campaign using SMS to engage with prospective candidates.

The initiative aims to streamline the recruitment process dramatically, saving time and effort for both prospective employees and the employer, Red Energy. Print advertising featuring in MX newspaper over a two week period includes a call to action urging those interested in career opportunities to simply text the word "RED" to a designated mobile number, and await a phone call from the Red Energy recruitment team.

Shane Springall, Recruitment Manager Red Energy is enthusiastic about the campaign "We live in a digital world so we must adopt more digital recruitment methods. We foster an internal culture of community, communication and engagement". Springall continues "The fight to obtain talent is highly competitive, so when the world is going mobile it makes sense to adopt mobile tools to enhance our recruitment process. It is proactive and easy for the potential candidates".

The mobile solution includes full reporting and analytics, allowing Red Energy to monitor and evaluate each step of the SMS campaign and tailor it along the way if required. Expert advice from the team at SMS Solutions Australia ensures an educated and collaborative approach to the implementation of this project. James Robinson, General Manager, SMS Solutions Australia says "We admire the forward thinking nature of Red Energy as a client, and as with all clients, we look forward to building collaborative solutions to maximise the use and benefits of SMS communications". Robinson continues "With mobile penetration at over 100% in Australia, meaning more phones than people, it is pivotal that businesses not only consider mobile marketing but implement now rather than play catch-up later".
