Nokia N95 8gb Joins Vodafone Network - Nokia N95 8gb

The new Nokia N95 8GB is an upgraded version of the Nokia N95, although as the name suggests it does have a larger memory it also incorporates some new features, technology and a new design.

The first thing to notice about the new N95 8GB is that it has been produced in a different colour to the original model, the previous N95 was available in both Silver and Plum editions whereas the new N95 8Gb is produced in a classy black casing.

This ties in very well with the fact that the handset comes with Spiderman 3 pre-installed - remember that Spiderman is taken over by the black alien sludge?

Another improvement to the n95 8 gig is that the manufacturer has included a larger screen, the original version had a 2.6 inch display whilst the 8GB offers a 2.8 inch, this may not sound like a massive improvement but for people with poor eyesight it makes for larger and easier to read text whilst watching videos and movies on the phone greatly enhances the experience.

Nokia have also took customer feedback to their r&d department regarding the dual sliding mechanism, consumers were unhappy that when the phone is pushed back to reveal the dedicated music keys they had trouble pressing them as their fingers would touch the side of the handset sometimes causing them to push either the wrong button or two at once. The buttons have now been raised slightly to make for easy navigation even in low light conditions.

The Nokia N95 8GB battery has also been upgraded after complaints that the original would run down far too quickly, in order to house the new larger battery the back of the handset has had to be redesigned.

A very useful improvement has to be the new lens cover, with such a high specification camera including Carl Zeiss optics it is essential that the lens is protected and Nokia have now added a lens cover to da just that.

The new Nokia N95 really is a top N-Series phone and with the addition onto the Vodafone network the more tariff choices make it easier for consumers to get the correct amount of minutes and text they need to suit their individual requirements.
