Phone System Review - Alcatel Omni Pcx Pabx Phone Stsem

The Alcatel-Lucent Omni PCX Office PABX Phone System is a very stylish & business PABX Phone System from probably the most reputable Phone System company in the world.

The Alcatel-Lucent Omni PCX PABX Phone System combines a range of applications including voice, email, internet and other applications into a single east to use and easy to manage platform. It insures the future of your business PABX phone system requirements with the modular scalability giving flexibility to evolve with your business. Images and PDFS of the Alcatel Omni PCX PABX phone system are available here.

What we liked about the Alcatel Omni PCX Phone System was the range of inclusions at no additional cost including free built in Voice Mail & the free Auto Attendant. These features can be easily adapted to include Free Messages or Music on hold and also a Free Virtual Receptionist providing an alternate after hours message service, making this Phone System outstanding value for money.

We also liked the crisp sound quality of the speaker phone models on the Omni PXC Phone System...the 4029 & 4039, the one touch redial and speed dials and the easy transfer on hold. The usability of this system is second to none. The range of handsets come with ergonomically optimized design, intuitive icons, soft keys and alpha numeric keyboards if needed. DECT cordless handsets give this phone system mobility and a range of Bluetooth cordless headsets are available to suit.

We think most people will end up with the mid range Alcatel 4029 handset on their desk over the standard 4019 or the higher end System Manager 4039. The main difference between the 4039 is the 4039 has 10 soft keys while the 4029 handset has 6 soft keys. The 4039 is likely to end up on Reception and Hotel Front of House desks while the 4019 will most likely be used by people who make and receive calls and not much else.

On the Alcatel 4029 Phone System handset we like the large screen and easy layout on the giving the user a large 6 line LCD display and 4 way navigator keys. The navigator key is used to access all function requirements. There is also good use of color lighting on the handset where orange is to activate the speaker phone, yellow is to mute and red flashing means you have voicemail.

The Alcatel 4029 has a qwerty keyboard on the bottom half of the handset allowing you to enter and store info directly from the handset and also allows for fast access to speed dial numbers. Just type in the first 2 letters of whoever you want to call and the list of available numbers will come up on the screen just like a mobile phone. Just hit OK and the number is dialed.

You can also transfer, mute, speaker phone, redial, caller on hold, dial from your computer address book (CTI), up to 3000 speed dial numbers plus a headphone jack for if you want to use a blue tooth headset.

The Alcatel Omni PCX Phone System also has a range of advanced features available including call accounting software, Computer Telephony Interface (CTI) which can be used to dial numbers using your Computers address book. More detail on these Phone System features is available here.
