They said that we are going to be held accountable for all of our actions based upon our selfish motivations, and Moraitis also said that, karma is not an endpoint but is actually a starting point.    When you are aware of the mistakes that you've made, your karma will be different when you finally die, rather than if you were totally oblivious.
