Americans were thrilled with the introduction of cable television and it caught on rapidly because it offered more programming than every before. However, a mere decade later satellite programming became available and made Americans aware that there were other television programming options available.
However, at this time, satellite televisions were very expensive because of the equipment, difficult to navigate and the programming was not very good. However, satellite companies were working to develop a better product that would be a rival to cable television and garner more customers. Thus, satellite companies came out with a small dish that was mountable virtually anywhere and that offered an outstanding package of programming for the subscriber.
Because of this, satellite television has made a comeback and is growing at a rate of approximately 30% per year while cable is growing at around 10 %. So, the real question is, what benefits does satellite television offer the subscriber that cable television does not?
The answer is satellite television is more affordable, offers more programming, digital shows, and better customer service.
Amazingly, today satellite television subscribers are paying a smaller televise provider bill on a monthly basis than are cable subscribers. The reason for this is satellite companies are stiff competitors so prices are constantly being challenged by competitors. Because of this, satellite subscribers win and ultimately have lower bills.
Also, when you subscribe to satellite television there is always something on. There are a variety of all movie channels, sports channels, history channels, arts and entertainment, children's channels, foreign language channels, music and more. If you cannot find something to watch on satellite television at any given moment during the day then you will never find anything to watch.
In addition to the amazing programming packages and channel selections, satellite television provides all of its channels through digital technology. Because of this the subscriber receives a better, clearer image that is more enjoyable.
Customer service is another benefit satellite television customers have over cable subscribers. The reason for this is that cable companies basically have a monopoly over the area in which they operate while satellite companies have to worry about the competition of other satellite companies. Because of this, customer service is great in order to keep as many customers as possible.
If you are unhappy with your current cable subscription, then simply change over to satellite to finally have the channels you want, an affordable, great customer service and television programming that really meets your needs. You will not regret your decision and in fact you will more than likely wonder what took you so long to switch. Do some research online to find the satellite companies that offer the best specials.
