Have you noticed that the world changed a lot since the 90's? It's not possible to list all of the major changes because there are a lot to mention. There have been a lot of breakthroughs and all of them happened because of the many new technologies that have appeared in the past decade but only a few of them stand out. These are the ones that are widely used by people nowadays because they can help us and also entertain us in our daily lives. And there are also some that may cause harm if not taken the proper way. If you are still perplexed and quite unsure about what those technologies are, here is a list of the ones that revolutionized the way people live:

1. The internet is on the top of the list because it has exceptional influence in the lives of the people. It's considered to be as the world's largest library. It's the whole world's source of information and the best part about it is that it's more affordable than books, newspapers, magazines and all other resources put together. You can have access to anything in just a click of a mouse.

2. Have you ever heard of Genetic Engineering? It's second on the list! It has something to do with 70 percent of processed food that we eat and they have genetically modified ingredients. Though a lot of people said this is advantageous, they have not yet realized the bad effects it causes later in life.

3. There is now a big change in digital media. Before, you can't do anything to modify the photos, videos and audio but now you can do all of that because application software are now available for you to use. Digital media can be copied and passed from one person to another because of Bluetooth and data cables. You can simply connect to the world in seconds.

4. Personal computer also made a big difference in our lifestyles. Nowadays, every household should have one. Kids need it at school and adults need them at offices and big companies.

5. The fifth one on the list is Space Exploration. Because of our curiosity about aliens and the outer space, they pushed the development of hundreds of enabling technologies and that includes the synthetic fibers and integrated computer circuits. This made the space flight possible and man was able to fly to the moon and back.

6. Mobile phones also made a big change in our lives. Because of that, we can communicate with each other easily. We can also send text messages and the recipients would read that message in less than a minute. However, this technology poses several disadvantages as well and it's up to us how to balance the use of mobile phones.
