The New Sony Ericsson - Musical Bliss

The new Sony Ericsson heralds the next phase in Walkman phone evolution, and poses are the next start in the manufacturer's string of hits. The eighth device in the lineage, it comes with more advance features to offer more enhanced and exciting experience for the music manias.

The Sony Ericsson W850i is basically the successor of W900i. But the latter is far more compact and resembles more of Nokia 6280 in size and weight. The phone comes with a slider mechanism (first in the series of Walkman phones), and though its first of a kind, nonetheless it does a pretty good job. Along with the new direction, the Sony Ericsson W850i also comes with a fresh look. It is most notable in the way the navigation pad blends into the phone. Like other handsets of the genre, even the Sony Ericsson W850i has user-friendly user interface, and the screen displays fantastic definition and brighttness.

As a 3G device, the Sony Ericsson W850i is blessed with two-way video calling. The front is loaded with a VGA camera, while the rear has a 2 MP camera. For storing your digital tunes and multimedia gubbins, the device comes with MemoryStick ProDuo card slot. It also helps to upgrade the model to a 3G device. The W850i is the first Walkman phone to carry the new version 2.0 of its proprietary player. There has been some improvements and you will simply love to explore them. The first among this is the polished graphic icons and the neat lines that link the sub-section through the sliding screen. The device also gives you access to the Sony Ericsson’s new full-track download service. As a part of PlayNow, this music store will will be updated each week with about ten artists. Another feather in the cap of Sony Ericsson W850i is the album art support. Here, when you transfer your songs from the PC to the phone, the available album artwork is also downloaded, together with the song names. Not to miss the TrackID that acts like a boon too. Further, the Sony Ericsson W850i has the A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) Bluetooth profile so you can wireless stream your music to a pair of compatible headphones.
