What is a Cisco access server?

This type of server provides the user with network access via a modem. The great thing about it is that it'll allow you to connect to other routers in a Cisco lab. As a result of this you won't have to keep moving rollover cables between routers. A Cisco access server is a convenient solution to the needs of a business. The idea behind this Cisco server is to combine computing, storage access and networking. Cisco servers have an advantage when used in a small to medium business as well as larger enterprises.

History of Cisco access server

The history of Cisco dates back to 1984 when married couple, Len Bosack and Sandy Lerner. Together with Richard Troiano they founded Cisco systems. The name Cisco came from the city name of San Francisco. The following is a list of the products and services associated with a Cisco access server

*Smart, which has better functionality and needs less management.

*The unmanaged option is easy to use as it works right out of the box.
