A Good Lesson to be Learned from the Conficker Virus

The recent Conficker Virus is another good lesson on why we need to be certain that our personal computers, flash drives and laptops are secure and protected at all times. It is amazing how many people are out there that would corrupt and exploit us. Those that have been infected with the Conficker Virus are angry and feel violated to have their personal computers hijacked this way for no good reason. Conficker Virus victims only crime was not to have the right anti-virus software or update installed on their computer and that was all.

Fighting Conficker Virus with Anti-malware

The Conficker Virus is no match for the anti-malware designed by MacAfee the global computer software company. Those with MacAfee software installed and active on their computers have nothing to worry about. Those who also have anti-malware offered by SanDisk Enterprise installed on their flash drives have no worry form the Conficker Virus as the virus will be quarantined and rendered inert. It would be unfortunate if your system was not fully protected from this or another kind of virus. It seems that the creator of the Conficker Virus thinks that the personal property of others is perfectly fine to violate in this way.

Those that spend their time designing and unleashing worms like the Conficker Virus should be held accountable for the time and money they cost others. It is not different then a thief sticking a gun in your face and demanding money from the register. Of course the first priority for many has become protecting their networks and system from such threats. It would be a good idea to be certain your system is protected from the Conficker Virus and other similar destructive programs.  It would be nice if the perpetrator of the Conficker Virus were caught and forced to account for their actions.

Anti-virus Software and the Conficker Virus

The cyber world seems to be a jungle these days with viruses and worms like the Conficker Virus roaming about looking for systems to infect and devour. Protecting your personal data has probably become a priority and you have been forced to look at your network security. A virus like the Conficker Virus should not be the catalyst toward a review of security protocols and threats to networks and systems. According to engineers at SanDisk Enterprise protecting company, organization and personal information is important whether a virus like the Conficker Virus threatens it or not.

One good thing that has come out of the Conficker Virus is a lot of users now have adequately protected personal computers, flash drives and laptops. A virus might have forced them to look at their security issues but now many are more secure then they were before. This does not justify the actions of the Conficker Virus creator in any way and should be help accountable for the destruction and cost it created for many people and companies. Some have reported that because of the Conficker Virus they will now be doing a monthly security check on their systems whether there is a threat or not. This is probably the best habit they can get into doing for their system.
