- Cut the cable at the short and strip down the ends of either cut side about an inch. Twist the ends of the metal wires together, making sure each side is completely connected to the other.
- Wrap electrical tape around the exposed metal wires and run more tape along the length of the cord over the slit. Replace the top half of the adapter box with the bottom and your ACER power cord should be fixed.
