I have come across many people who wanted a Rogue at level 80. And I understand them all. The Rogue is a class that you play with a big smile on your face. You literally massacre the opponents so for the PvP this class is a "godlike". So who doesn't want to have a Rogue?
When it comes to fast Rogue leveling we need to know what it the most efficient talent build. As you know Rogue is purely DPS class. So leveling in any of three builds is possible. But only one build is the fastest one.
Fast Rogue Leveling - Assassination, Combat or Subtlety?
Let me first explain all of the three builds.
Assassination spec is a kind of spec with very high burst damage. The main attack (skill) is Mutilate. It is an attack with both weapons (usually daggers), boosted with attack power. That's why people usually call this build a "Mutilate" build. Assassination tree also boosts up Rogue's poisons. So this tree is also very effective for PvP (arena or battlegrounds)
Let me tell you a bit about a Combat talent tree. It is the best build for maintaining sustained damage trough the fight. With this tree you will keep your DPS at the constant rate. You must be aware of some talents which are not advised to be mixed. These talents are for enhancing your specific weapons (daggers, swords, maces, fists, axes). For example "Close Quarters Combat" is for boosting your daggers and fists. "Mace Specialization" is for boosting maces and "Hack and Slash" for swords and axes. So as long as you focus in one type of weapon, mixing this is a big waste of talents.
If I were you I would stay away from Subtlety build. It is a bit harder to master and it is not advised for leveling. This build is known as fun battleground build. So if you want PvP in battlegrounds, then respect at level 80.
From my experience the fastest and easiest build to level is the Combat tree. It boosts your weapon use and u wave the best sustained damage of all the other builds.
Fast Rogue Leveling - Questing?
Yes! Questing is the best and fastest way of getting XPs (experience points). But you must be aware of the fact that Blizzard created a huge amount of quests with the intent to slow you down. These quests reward you with little XP and take you a lot of time to complete them.
