You have to perform tasks that will give you a variety of different things like experience points. Even though FrontierVille has its differences from FarmVille it also has its similarities. A difference in FarmVille is that in FrontierVille is when you harvest crops it stirs up unwanted critters and when you get rid of them you earn points. Basically completing any task is going to give you experience points, or energy. Energy can also be gained by trading food or horseshoes. Animals can be purchased or gifted and harvested for certain things or added to and sold for a very large reward.
The animal choice also varies along with the time that they must be harvested. When a player purchases or receives a tree the choice in tree varies along with the harvest time as well. Some trees are to be grown, and then cleared out and used to build furniture. Just like in FarmVille Doing these task gives you an opportunity to find or earn collectables, when you find enough of these collectable you are able to trade them in for a variety of things.
You also have to have neighbors to complete tasks or to get help with tasks.
