LOTRO Gold Farming Advice and Tricks
After reaching our maximum level in LOTRO we start to think big. We want high quality items so we can be even more effective when playing. Everyone loves a well equipped character by their side, makes you feel safe. To have those items you either need a good kin to do raids or money, sometimes both. That is when some LOTRO gold farming comes into action.
Let's say you don't really have the time to do raids which take several hours to complete and aren't always successful. You then turn to the Auction Hall to buy what you need, but then you'll need money. To make money you don't really have to play endless hours, well you can farm for endless hours but there is no point since you aren't going to buy the whole AH. I am going to list some tips I devised to help everyone make some gold in a short period of time, hopefully:
- when heading out to get some gold, try and have at least 4 bags empty and put in the 5th one potions and keep other stuff that doesn't fit in your bank or house chest;
- always have regen foods on you as they really help with your downtime, you don't want to take 1-2 minutes breaks between kills;
- if you feel like chatting or have to talk to someone, do it when hitting a mob, or when resting. Don't talk with people when you can kill mobs;
- try farming for more than 2 hours, if you only farm for an hour or so your profit will be very small, even smaller if you die once or twice due to the repair prices;
- look for spots that have both humanoid and beast like NPC's. The combination of items they drop is very good;
- don't keep grey items that don't stack if full, always make room for grey stuff that stack as those are worth more when selling them to a NPC merchant;
- try and look for a spot where your class can be effective, use the terrain to your advantage;
- never go killing elite grey mobs for gold, it's totally not worth it.
