We have had a number of requests for a Modern Warfare 2 guide to the new game flag runner by E-mail. We have spoke to some top pro’s and until there are some decent video guides to it thought we would go over some key points.
First of all you have to think about what type of player you are? are you purely playing to get those vital XP points? Are you playing to help the team and win the match? Are you playing for the glory of winning the game single handedly? Are you playing it to improve your Kill Death Ratio? Once you have answered yes to one of these questions you can then look to develop a strategy around your goals.
If you are going for XP points then a great way to get some is using tactical insertion, by hiding your flare very near to the base every time you re-spawn you can constantly be attacking there flag. Capturing there flag gains you fifty points every time you at least grab it, not to mention if you manage to return it for a cool 250 points.
If you are playing to help the team you should switch your mike on and communicate as much as possible to help with the team objective. Trying to capture and return the flag in hunting packs is far easier than doing it all by your self. If you go in a team of three spaced out by around ten meters per player and run at the flag then the person in second can see where the guy in front got killed and so on and so forth.
