What is Runescape?

Well Runescape is a popular MMORPG, or MAssively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game that was launched in 1999 by Jagex, a game developing company which is established in the Unite Kingdom. It has seen many improveents over the years, including Runescape 2 which was coversion of runescape into a 3-d and larger area with many new features and improved graphics and the recent High Definition Update which makes this java based online game a lot better.

Players:

The Runescape community is formed up by active players, mostly in their teens. However many adults also play and enjoy this game. Runescape claims to have over 150 million accounts created with 5 million active accounts of which 1 million accounts are Pay - to Play members

Gameplay:

The free version of the Game is limited, although Jagex syays that they will indeed remove the concept of the free verison of the game to be actually a demo version of the game by adding a lot more Free to Play content. The recent indicator would be free players with over 12.5 million xp in stats were allowed forum access.

Runescape is a fantasy world with monsters to kill, skills to train and gold to earn. Runescape gives a variety of skills and combat options that make this game unique and interesting. Unlike WoW, you can train anything in this game and use any type of combat (Range, mage or melee) and if you are a member, you can train all skills and not specific job related skills.

Special Skills Called Combat skills affect your performance in combat. Runescape offers seven different combat skills: Strength Attack Defence Magic Range Prayer and the most recent: Summoning. These skills alone affect the Combat level of a character in game, with three different attack styles ( amgic range and Melee) plus a beast you can summon to assist you in combat or with skills.

Quests:

Quests in Runescape are debatably its most unique feature in game. The quests involve logic, twists and cut screens with great storyline and a lot different from the quests available in WoW, which mainly tell you to Kill a certain number of beasts. Quests in runescape aare fantsatic and rewarding. A few quests give you the ability to use extremely High leveled weapons that cause massive damage. 150 Unique quests are available in the game.

PvP:

Runescape is against real world trading. That is why they removed the concept of the wilderness where players could combat each other with the fear of loosing their items, yet with the reward of gaining their opponents items. There are areas of Multi combat where many players can fight against one together, and their are areas of single combat, where a player can fight against only one other player. The deeper in the wild you go, the more the level range of people you an fight. The wilderness (much to the agony of Runescape Players) was removed and in its place came PvP worlds, with poor drop caclulating systems.

Money Making:

Jagex also introduced trade limit in Runescape, that is the amount of gold you can give away for free in runescape. This caused a lot of mayhem and a lot of players in runescape quit. But Runescape replaced it with the sytem of Grand Exchange ( a place where you can sell your item between a range og Lowest price to the gihest price). The difference between the two is more or less 10%. This concept has enabled the players to make massive profit. But many dont know how to. http://www.RunescapeInvesting.com explains it all.
