Levels 1-20
Get a Sling at the G.E, and head to the Lumbridge cow field. Now first you need money. So fight the cows with the rapid attack style. Pick up the bones and cowhides. Bank them whenever your inventory gets full. Once you have about 250 of each, go to the G.E. and sell them.
Buy: Studded Body, Studded Chaps, a Cowl, an Amulet of Power, any Team Cape, Leather Boots, a Willow Shortbow, a Maple Shortbow, 15 swordfish, and as many iron arrows as you can.
20-30
Equip all of the armour, the iron arrows and the willow shortbow. You have two choices:
Stay at the cows: Self-explanatory
Barbarian Village: Go to the longhall, with two tables, go to one side and attack the barbarians from the other side. Pick up your arrows to save some money.
30-35
Equip: All armour, iron arrows, and maple shortbow.
Barbarian Village: see above
Minotaurs: First level of the Stronghold of Security, there should be hiding places. They drop iron arrows so you should pick them all up
35-50
I suggest going to hill giants in the shack west of varrock. You'll need a brass key and about 5 pieces of food. Go down, and start killing. Pick up their bones and some drops. See my other guide for more details about hill giant killing.
50-70/99
Fight Moss Giants in the varrock sewers. They have pretty good drops, although no fast way to the bank.
70-99
Try to fight lesser demons. They have great drops, but are often crowded because so many players use them.
