There is only one way to play video games now days and that is performing them on a HDTV. Whatever people have told you, what ever your friends, kinsfolk, or co-workers have told you, HD is the exclusive way to go. Ok you might just happen to be an individual that has never seen something in High definition and that is alright, your not alone.

Just about everyone in the United States has heard of HD but truly don't understand what it is. A simplex way to explicate it is that the resolution of the picture is greatly improved. Improved? One may ask, well yes that is just it.

So you should go out right now and see for your self. Now back to video games on a HDTV. For starters the picture is much clearer. When it is not in HD the image has what looks like to be a fuzz impression going on with it. Now if you are one of those people that have never seen HD then you will not observe it and would have to look for it.

But if you do have a HDTV and play your video games on it normally you will in fact observe a prodigious difference the character of image. Not only that, if you were to play a video game that you play ofttimes in HD and then switched it over to basic definition it would be enough to make your self displeased.

Also it is a major excuse for you to go out and buy a HD DVD player. That way you can start buying HD movies and when you see an ad on TV about a picture and it says also comes in HD you can go out and buy it. The only down side to buying HD movies is the increase in cost of the movie.

You can ordinarily get a regular DVD at around twenty dollars, for a HD film you will be spending up wards to around thirty dollars. Tho' that might be a lot for just one movie, High def. movies come with an extremum amount of content compared to just a normal DVD.

On every HD DVD there are just about all the extras for that show that you possibly could want. If you want behind the scenes or interviews with the cast of the film they are all there.

I have personally only seen a couple of DVDs my self one being Pirates of The Caribbean: At Worlds End which was a extraordinary picture, but I know for a fact that all HD DVDs have all of the volume I have just said. It is kind of like a guarantee when purchasing a DVD player.

Not only do you get an awing improvement in the quality of the image but you get all of the in depth reporting of the picture it self. I would say to all gamers or movie lovers that enjoys watching TV in general and is looking for a finer experience save yourself the pain of standard definition and buy a HDTV.

Help connecting multiple components with tv
By: Need Help | 14-07-2008
I have an LG flat panel TV, and 3 components hooked to it: DirecTV DVR Reciever, a Sony DVD Surround Sound /speakers and a Phillips DVD Recorder. I was instructed on the connection of all of my components and everything works great- but my DVD recorder. I wanted to be able to make DVD recordings from my DirecTV DVR recordings. Here are my connections: DirecTV: HDMI to TV (HDMI1), AV Red & White to DVD Surround Sound, AV Red,White Yellow to DVD Recorder DVD Surround Sound: HDMI to TV (HDMI2) The power is there to the Phillips DVD Recorder, but the remote will not work and I have changed the Input on my TV to Component 1 and nothing will work. It seems like there should be something connected to the TV? Do I need a 3rd HDMI cord to go to the HDMI 3 slot on my TV? Then how would I play a movie from my DirecTV and record it with the recorder?

DVD Player/VCR Combo vs. DTV Set-Top Converter Box -- Problem
By: Katie | 25-06-2008
I connected my digital conversion set-top box to the tv, executed the setup sequence, and the tv is working fine. Now, though, the combination DVD player/VCR I have always used with the same tv (with an RF modulator) displays video, but the audio is not working.  Anyone know what I did wrong with the setup?  My instinct is that it 's something very simple that I overlooked. I tried shutting the set-top converter box off and operating the tv and peripheral the "old" way, but the DVD player/VCR is still not "talking."  Thank you for any help you can provide.

Recording PC video on PVR via DV or HDMI?
By: pubspubs | 30-03-2008
Hello, I've got an HP DV9000 series laptop with DV and HDMI and svideo sockets, and a Samsung DVD HR750 PVD with DVD and HDD recording, and AV, DV, and RF connections. Can I use this setup to record films or programs on my PC onto the DVD or HDD of my PVR, using the DV link for example? I imagine it would have to be in real time. Would it be a digital quality recording? Would I be able to record DRM time limited recordings to keep a hard copy? Many thanks for any help or advice.
