The Aspire TimelineX 4820TG is pretty much an overhaul of last year's Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T laptop. However, while they may share the same 14-inch screen size, the new Aspire TimelineX 4820TG delivers more in the way of performance and battery life, all courtesy of the Intel Core i5 processor. The Aspire TimelineX 4820TG is a neat and stylish laptop that has a smooth metal-effect finish that is pleasing on the eye without being too over-stated. We like the slimline design and cool lines but it's not quite as elegant on the inside, as Acer seems to have gone for contrasting tones on the keyboard and palm rest.
Still, the overall build quality of the Aspire TimelineX 4820TG feels good and the balance of the laptop feels solid in the hand. Weighing in at 2.2kg, Acer has made the Aspire TimelineX 4820TG as slim as possible. In fact, carrying it around we hardly noticed we had a fully-fledged laptop with us.
