Antispywarebot Review
AntiSpywareBot is made by a company called 2Squared. They also make the registry cleaner titled, appropriately, RegClean.
When you download AntiSpywareBot, you will be presented with a program interface that looks really cool. But looks can be deceiving. Once you dig into it, you'll find this interface is a bit busy and intimidating. There are lots of options to choose from, probably a few too many options in my opinion. Simply put, many of the options are not needed.
With AntiSpywareBot, you perform system scans by hitting the big button titled "start scan." Once you do this, this spyware remover performs a very quick scan. When it is done you will see results, plus a list of what type of infection each spyware intruder is. You are able to decide which spyware you want to delete from your system. AntiSpywareBOT also has a function that allows you to ignore certain files, folders or programs you do not want to scan.
This spyware cleaner offers a number of advanced features, including BHO, or browser helper object manager. This starts up each time your browser starts, and shows you any new spyware intruders on your system. It also has a system startup manager that will turn off any programs your system doesn't need that are just making it run slow. And finally, AntiSpywareBot comes with a home page manager that allows you to reclaim your home page quickly if it gets hijacked by spyware (a hijacked home page is a sure sign that spyware has infected your computer).
AntiSpywareBot does a great job of getting rid of spyware, though it's not quite as easy to use as my top pick, XoftSpySE. You can read my report on both spyware removers here
