Powerpoint mistake people do

Powerpoint presentation can be a medium of delivering content of your speech to the audience. You can use words or pictures to insight on what your speech today is about. What people don't usually notice is how easy it is to make mistake. What more you won't notice these mistakes that you make inside your presentation because you think it is the right way to do it. In the end, these mistakes will just bore your audience and your presentation have failed.

First basic mistake is putting in everything inside one slide. Then the presenter will start reading and talking according to the slides.

{If you want to do that then why not just make a video with words|How is this any different from a class where the teacher is writing the entire speech down on a blackboard and not saying a word. Instead present your speech using bullet points and pictures that captures the audience attention without telling them everything. Then explain to them the meaning of the slides on your own.

Consistency is also another problem people usually face. Some of you would just love to change fonts inside your slides like changing socks.

Who would love looking at that mess? Stick to one fonts only when you are presenting your slides.

The size of the font should be large enough to the audience sitting far away can read your slides. Then you also need to just apply one theme for your whole presentation. Don't confuse the audience by using different slides themes inside your presentation.

Another feature that people like to use inside powerpoint is the transition animation.

You can hide different points in a slide and reveal them slowly so you can present them one by one.

Sometimes, people forget to limit their animation usage.

There isn't a single slide or points that have not been animated by them. What happens in the end is the audience seeing the same animation more than 10 times and it makes them bored and wishing it would just end. If possible, go through slides without putting one animation. If need to add in animation, make sure it is simple and quick so it will be over in a moment.

Another feature that people should use often is the spell checker.

There is no way you can give a proper presentation if the readers constant see spelling mistakes in your presentation. Proof reading is also another habit you need to enforce after finish making your presentation.

This will help you get familiarize with the slides and know that everything is organized before you go live with it.
