The centre is providing education to disadvantaged students of the terrain from 2006. The centre is galvanized by the local people, administration.<br />Formerly, the centre was set up with the efforts of Local NGO-National Students Welfare Association (NSWA) and was first Special study centre under Jammu region. The centre got a support from the IGNOU authorities to cover the disadvantaged masses of Bhalessa.<br />In September 2006, NSWA members got together to think of the ways in which they can play a significant role for the qualitative and quantitative improvement of the education in this otherwise backward and trouble torn area of Jammu and Kashmir.<br />IGNOU team headed by Sh. G H Imrapur and Dr. Joginder Yadav flanked on the proposal of Sadaket Malik Chairman National Students Welfare Association make formal announcement for the setting up of this centre.
