Halo 3 For Xbox 360

So you played Halo and Halo 2 until you were blue in the face or your disk wore out, which ever came first. Perhaps at the end of the thrilling ride you were let down by the massive cliffhanger that was just too much to bear leaving you pulling tufts of hair out and throwing you controller at the TV. Fear not for the faint at heart after a long awaited anticipation Halo 3 does not disappoint. Halo 3 picks up where Halo 2 left off.

The Covenant is on its way to earth along with its extreme religious views while attempting to activate weapons known as Halos that could destroy civilization as we know it. The Master Chief and the UNSC along with newfound allies such as the Arbiter are in a battle of their lives to stop them. And if you must know for fear of another nail biting hair pulling cliffhanger, Halo 3 will provide you with a fitting closure to the trilogy while explaining all those cryptic messages you have encountered in Halo 2.

Halo 3 is not some rehash of its predecessors; in fact it takes the original and builds upon it giving the game a fresh new spin in a familiar world. Weapons that you have only seen in the predecessors are now available to play such as the gravity hammer that can wipe out most of your enemies in one swipe. Don't fret you still have the old weapons that you are used to but add upon your arsenal by providing new weapons like the spiker an automatic weapon that fires rapidly taking down enemies quickly especially if you have a pair of them. But there are weapons that although so huge and cool tend to slow you down tremendously but have their uses.

Halo like its predecessors, Halo 3 alternates from foot battles to vehicle sequences taking you through nine thrilling campaign chapters. Nine chapters seem short but it would take an average player between ten and fifteen hours to complete on any one of the four difficulty levels. That's right, complete the story in one level and replay it all over again on another difficulty level. That's sixty hours of play if you play it four times straight through. But if not even that is enough Halo for you, Halo 3 can also be played online in co-op mode with up to three other players as you all work together to get through the nine campaign levels.

Halo 3 has been such a smash hit that Xbox 360 has made many of its machines in commemoration of the series that surly it will go down in history is one of the greatest game franchises and who knows perhaps one day a movie based on the game as well. Regardless, Halo 3 gets high marks not only for bringing a satisfactory close to an amazing trilogy but by also exceeding the expectations of its predecessors both in single player mode or in online multi co-op player mode.
