How do i fix the sound on my laptop?
Question: my family has a compaq presario v6000. the sound usually works great, but recently we had a storm and it cut off our internet connection and apparently the sound. well when i hit the botton above the keyboard to turn the volume up i hear the click it makes and at the bottom of the screen it says i have the volume up. i went to youtube.com to watch a video and i couldnt hear it at all. how do i fix it?
Our answer: Uninstall & reinstall your sound card drivers from the driver disc given by compaq for your model.if not download the correct one from HP website & install.This should fix the problem unless the power surge has damaged your speakers or sound card.
