Out of the three major types of cubic crystal system, namely Simple cubic (SC), Body centred Cubic (BCC) and Face centred Cubic (FCC also called cubic close-packed), the solid solution follows the Body centred Cubic system. In this, the unit cell i.e. the smallest cell the substance can be broken down to, is in the shape of a cube. The Body centred Cubic structure of the unit cell basically has a total of 9 lattice points (eight corners and one in the centre of the cell). The net total however is 2 cause the eight lattice points in the corners of the cube are shared by seven other cells boiling down the effective value to 1/8*8=1 in addition to the 1 in the centre. The structure is wound in a crisscross way. This is how steel and cast iron are able to get the magnetic properties.

Their high inducting power are capable of warding off a portion of the energy the noise possesses.
