Microsoft Exchange Server is a software programme that was previously mainly used by large businesses. It has a significant amount of multiple group applications and includes an e-mail collaborative server and a collaborative e-mail client.

Exchange Server is used mainly by large corporations that are utilizing Microsoft infrastructure solutions. The client's name has been changed multiple times but is now simply known as Exchange Client. This computer application includes email services which can be configured ad used in a number of ways. It is possible to retrieve and send email on the server and, when installed on one's computer it will incorporate the network settings and internal security. It conveniently has complete directions for installation.

Microsoft Exchange Hosting has also been added to the mix. It is a software product that allows Blackberry and other mobile device users' access to contacts, emails and other information. In order to operate it must be 'hosted' through the Server. This product has removed the previous expensive equipment that was required to make this kind of contact, especially on a Blackberry.

The Exchange Hosting has been especially beneficial to businesses, allowing them not only easy contact with workers in the field but allowing access to multiple contacts from any location at any time. It also allows receiving voicemail, e-mail and faxes in one in-box. Another excellent feature is that one can forward something such as a voicemail with added text notes. There is built-in security protection in this equipment as well. It has anti-virus, spam and phishing technology, which stops any of this from reaching one's system. It also is an advantage of offering assistance regarding compliance regulations while helping increase productivity. In addition, there is an excellent guaranteed service agreement.

The Microsoft Exchange Server offers the unique feature of allowing the use of Office features (i. E. Excel, PowerPoint, Word and PDF) to be available as e-mail attachments or on HTML. The pc does not have to have Office on their program to have this service. There are many other additional attachments which offer a world of services such as Web Access, ActiveSync, Auto-Discover, Smart Scheduling and many, many more.

The Microsoft Hosting Service Level Agreement, which documents the service that will be provided, is very interesting. It agrees to provide certain levels of support for inquires and problems. In A brief description of service is as follows

Microsoft has been the leader in introducing innovative products for the average pc user as well as businesses. Almost every home has a pc and its use is being taught in some schools beginning in kindergarten. It is considered that ultimately the vast majority of correspondence will be via the Internet, which offers even greater opportunity for the introduction of new product. The problem that is being encountered with programs of this type is that it requires someone who is knowledgeable with the terminology, as well as the mechanics, of the internet and computers.

The average person does not have a clue when spoken or written language uses terms such as SMPT, IMAP and POP3, all of which are email standards. This seems to put up a barrier between the general public and computer program producers and sellers. Information on the Internet, regarding programs such as the Microsoft Exchange is full of such language and a person is lost in trying to decipher it.

Applications such as Microsoft Exchange have opened lines of communication that in the recent past were only dreamed about. Colleges are teaching computer programmers who, in turn, are coming up with new ideas such as the founder of Microsoft had. Possibilities are endless for improving, even more on the programs currently in existence and experiments are being made every day.

The programs that once were confined to a pc are now being adapted to the portable communication devices that almost everyone is carrying. It will be interesting to see what the next 'new' idea to appear will be.There have been a number of different versions of Microsoft Exchange over the years, such as the Server which came out in 2010. Each addition to the different areas of the Exchange has added more benefits for the user. As technology increases and more and more devices are developed, for communication over the Internet, it is expected even more improvements will be made.
