I have openoffice writer 2.4, and the spell check isn't working. I've tried the settings, and I can't figure it out. when I try to spell check my work, it comes up with the box that says, "continue checking at beginning of document?" then I say yes, and it goes spell check is complete, even if I type something like "sklbgsbgaobg" into the document, which is obviously not a word, and the spell checker should pick that up immedietely. It hasn't worked since I downloaded it. did it download wrong, or is it something else?
