For the millions of computers infected with Total Security, my heart goes out to you. Total Security has quickly become one of the most annoying, menacing pieces of rogues software spreading through the internet. The pace at which it is jumping from computer to computer is a sickening one; you must get rid of this virus immediately, before it corrupts your important files and infects your family and friends!

Symptoms of Total Security:

The first and most obvious symptom of a Total Security infection is the false scan that it runs every time you start your computer. It will flash warnings at you, it will try to scare you into purchasing a full version, it will make your computer slow, and attack you with pop-up ads. At the very worst, it will make you a victim of identity theft.

You may receive a warning such as this one: "Security Monitor: WARNING! Attention! System detected a potential hazard (TrojanSPM/LX) on your computer that may infect executable files.Your private information and PC safety is at risk. To get rid of unwanted spyware and keep your computer safe you need to update your current security software. Cleck Yes to download official intrusion detection system (IDS software)"

If your computer is slower than usual, if your desktop seems different, if your internet browsing is being hijacked and redirected to different sites, then you are at major risk. You must scan your system and get rid of this major virus threat right now.

How To Get Rid of Total Security:

There are two ways. One is for strictly professionals and the other is for everyone, including newbies. The advanced method is manual removal. To manually remove a virus such as this one cannot be done simply by using the Add/Remove feature in your control panel. In fact, viruses like this make that impossible to do. You will have to dig into your system's registry and delete all TSC processes, infected DLL and LNK files. You will have to block all related websites and delete all program folders related to Total Security, also commonly labeled Total Security 2009. If you make a single mistake you can bring the virus back in full force at next re-boot. That's why you must only attempt a manual removal if you are an IT professional.

What's the Easiest, Quickest Way to Remove Total Security?

That would be automatic removal. I won't tell you my removal tool of choice right off the bat, but I recommend 3 in particular. They will scan and clean up your computer and have it whizzing along like new. I simply don't have the time to manually remove every virus I come across on a client or friend's computer. That's why I now use automatic removal tools every time. They get rid of the virus and they protect the computer against future viruses. On top of all that, there's quick customer service if there's every an issue.

So why beat yourself up over a sick computer? Aren't you tired of worrying about the safety and security of your files and your family? Remove Total Security in the next 10 minutes, you must get rid of it!
