Test software applications and get a free Samsung Galaxy Tab

Posted: Dec 21, 2010 |

Software testing is a great way to get the latest gadgets on the market for free. It's easier then most people think and you won't need technical skills or any previous experience. One of the latest programs features the latest tablet PC out there: the Samsung Galaxy S. This feature packed gadget can be yours with just a little bit of work (if you can even call it "work").

So what will you have to do in order to get one? Well, the first step is to check out a testing program for software programs (you can find a good one on my testing blog by CLICKING HERE). As I've said before there are no special requirements to get selected – you won't need special education, references, technical skills or previous experience. That's because software applications developers just want to make sure that their product is easy to use and intuitive before launching it on the market. This is critical as software applications that prove to be too difficult to operate by the average people become sales disasters.

As a tester, all you will have to do is use the piece of software installed on the tablet for a week just like the average consumer would (it's all done from home so it won't interfere with your daily schedule). After that, you will have to provide the app developer with your honest feedback and tell them whether or not you found their product easy to use. And, as a reward for you work you won't get paid in cash but you will get to keep the Galaxy Tab you've used for testing for free instead. It's a pretty good deal if you ask me. But if you don't want to miss out I suggest you move quickly as spots in this kind of programs get filled fast. You can check out a good testing program on my blog by CLICKING HERE.

Well, these programs are run by mobile software manufacturing companies that want to get consumer feedback on their products and not risk millions by realising an app that no one will want. The job of a tester is to determine is an app is easy to use by the average Joe and if it actually works in real life.
