The Advantages of Having an E-Reader

The advantages of having a e-book reader are pretty cut and dry. Let's face it carrying around a lot of books can get very heavy, and storing them can take a lot of space. You can get around this by getting an e-reader. By using this device you can store hundreds of books in something that is lighter than a paperback and as thing as most magazines. Should your reader get full you can store some of the books on your computer until you need them.

The best thing about having an e-reader is that you can take it (and all the books stored in it) where ever you go. You will be able to easily read while stuck waiting in a line or in a waiting room, or on the train, bus or plane. Should you finish your book most have a wireless connection that will allow you to download new e-books almost instantaneously, without requiring you to have any sort of membership. You can search through the book easily without flipping pages should you need to find a specific bit of info, and you can change the font size so that read the print easier, which is nice for those who would otherwise have to look for a large print edition of a book.

An e-reader can really make life easier. Once you have one of these devices, you can have loads of books at your fingertips where ever you go. Best of all, the e-reader that holds all of these e-books is lighter than most paperbacks, and as thin as a typical magazine. They have been upgrading them since the first ones that came out, and now they have made it even more like the experience of reading a book by getting rid of the glare and using multiple shades of gray so the print looks like that of a regular book. They also have a long battery life so you don't have to be continually charging them or worrying that you are going to run out of juice in the middle of your story.

You don't have to worry about running out of books with these readers either, since you can download e-books anytime with the wireless connection that comes with the reader. Many books can be gotten for free, and others are available for a small fee, usually less than the cost to actually purchase a copy of the book itself. Let's not forget all the magazine subscriptions and newspaper articles available at your fingertips. Think about sitting at your favorite coffee shop and having the choices of say world news, sports articles, even just a good book. It is much easier to pack one of these for trips than to try to pack a few books. Not to mention how much lighter your bags will be. We all appreciate a nice book library in our home, myself included. I take mine to the beach here in Florida. When time permits it's a convenience and a advantage I use to the fullest. The advantages of an e-book reader are clear in today's world of technology it's a must have. JR
