Just had a power surge/outage for a few second and my xbox 360 started the 3 blinking red lights and no A/V output. I read the info above and used the solution for 4 red lights (even though 3 are blinking on my xbox). Unplugged the power for a few seconds then reconnected, and everything went back to normal. Thanks for the helpful info.
