What to Do When Your Internet Explorer Freeze?

Internet Explorer is one of the most established and widely used browsers in the world. It is a long standing product that has developed a strong and rabidly loyal group of supporters. Even with the introduction of newer internet browsers, some traditionalist still prefer Internet Explorer. But however faithful, even the most loyal Internet Explorer user has probably experienced moments when Internet Explorer freezes. Being a true-blue Internet Explorer user, you are undaunted. But what should you do when your Internet Explorer freeze?

Like many computer problems, there may be many different reasons as to why Internet Explorer freezes. But before we can fix the problem, it is important to know the underlying reasons that cause Internet Explorer to freeze.

#1 Computer

As much as we hate to admit it, sometimes the problem lies with our computer and not with Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer's ability to load information depends on your computer's processing speed. Internet Explorer is an application. And when multiple instances of this application are opened via new windows, it decreases the computer's ability to load information quickly. Also, opening too many windows at once increases the RAM usage and hence if you have very limited RAM, chances are you will face frequent problems like Internet Explorer freezing up. As such, it is advised that you do some RAM-shopping and grab a bigger RAM.

#2 Internet Explorer updates

Internet Explorer, just like any other piece of software, requires regular updates. Most computer users automate their software updates. This is recommended, as doing so will allow you to obtain the latest upgrades without the need for you to manually search for it. Internet Explorer has their glitches, and as such, it is important to take note of the patches or bugs fixes that might become available for you.

Sometimes, Internet Explorer will release an entirely new version of Internet Explorer. These new versions need to be downloaded and installed compare to mini patches and DIY bug fixes. To be on the safe side, keep your eyes peeled for these patches.

#3 Virus attack!

Seeing is believing. Unfortunately, this idiom doesn't necessarily apply in the case of these virtual pests that can infest your computer undetected. These viruses can be the reason why your Internet Explorer freezes up or gets laggy. As responsible computer users, your computer should be equipped with necessary software like anti-virus and anti-spywares and registry cleaners remove viruses and spyware before they harm your computer and Internet Explorer.

Remember that Internet Explorer was designed primarily for Windows and is not entirely compatible with other operating systems such as Macintosh and Linux.

Internet Explorer is a constantly evolving product that exist in the dynamically changing landscape of your computer. Using it successfully your operating system requires the appropriate updates and software patches. As long as you follow the advice listed above, Internet Explorer should work flawlessly on your system. Unfortunately if your Internet Explorer woes still persist, then perhaps you should consider the blasphemous; switching to another browser.
