As a latest operating system, Windows 7 was released on 22nd October 2009, 3 weeks ago. You may heard a lot about Windows 7 tweaks recently. Microsoft said it run faster than any other operating systems in the past. But it doesn't meat that you don't need to tweak Windows 7.
I have tested several versions of Win 7 on desktops and laptops around my real store for days. And I found 99 tips are very good for computer performance. So you can follow me easily if you have time. Here are 3 tips:
1. Removing Unnecessary Start-up Items and Services - There may be a lot of programs and services that are started automatically when your computer boots. They will evidently lengthen computer boot up time! Removing unwanted start-up items and services can tweak Windows 7 boot faster as fly.
2. Defragment Your Hard Drive Regularly - When hard drive is fragmented, files are saved in lots of blocks. This means they have to be searched and put together before being used. If you perform a defragment program on your system regularly, all the blocks are placed together, next to each other. This can improve computer performance obviously.
3. Scan and Fix Registry Errors Frequently - This is one of the best tweaks for Windows 7. As a data base, registry records all hardware information, software information and users' operations. After a while, it will become overstaffed and cause many errors. Of course, the computer performance will be significantly decline by these factors. So don't forget to maintain your registry frequently!
