Starting from patio awning and sun porch or solarium to screen rooms and all-weather enclosures, patio enclosures can be of different types and designs. Patio enclosures are available in different materials, so you can pick the one that suits your needs.

If you want to protect your patio from rain, wind, and summer heat, all-weather patio enclosure will be ideal for you. Plus, you can also find patio enclosures in other materials as well including glass, vinyl sheet, etc.  If you wish to make your patio an extended living area, then go for a patio enclosure with safety latch. A sun room patio enclosure protects the patio from rain while providing good ventilation throughout the year. A typical sun room patio enclosure is generally made up of aluminum. Sun room enclosures are usually available with a gabled roof, but in many instances they come with sloped roof design.

Many patio enclosures are also available in vinyl frame. Certain patio enclosures are made to shield cars. These enclosures are known as carports. Usually this type of patio enclosure is weather resistant so that your car is protected from sun, snow, and rain. Carports are preferred by many people who don't have a separate garage and use their patio as a garage.

If you want a flexible patio enclosure, go for patio awning with a retractable option. This will help you to put on the cover when required and simply pull the awning back when not needed. Patio awnings are available in a wide variety of patterns, colors, and designs. Retractable awnings are also available in a wide choice of fabrics.  If you need extra protection from sunrays, go for awning with valance that slopes downward. If you do not wish to have a costly retractable awning, go for a standard stationary patio awning.

If you live in a tropical or equatorial region, a patio enclosure can provide shed to your patio, especially if you are having a patio garden where the plants need cover from the sun. These patio enclosures also have the ability to lower the temperature of the patio, making it cooler than the surrounding area. You can opt for a patio enclosure with a skylight if certain parts of the patio needs direct sunlight.

For ornamental and protection purpose, go for a patio enclosure with deck railings. The railings are usually made up of coated aluminum that is quite durable. If you have pets at home this is a good option for you.

Concrete is both the most widely used construction materials in the world and the only major building material that can be delivered to the job site in a plastic state. Concrete can be made to have any degree of water tightness. In the presence of moisture concrete continues to gain strength for years. The longer concrete is kept moist, the stronger and more durable it will become. Though it becomes easier to work with a concrete mix that has more water in it but the weaker the hardened concrete becomes.
