Why Bristol Kitchen Fitting Projects Are As Important As Complete Extension Projects

Posted: Jul 11, 2011 |Comments: 0 |

When it comes to loft conversions, Bristol home owners demand the highest possible standards from the workmen that carry out such projects. It is their entitlement, and all reputable companies in the industry are happy to know there is such discernment in the market.

These same companies will be quick to point out that even when it comes to bathroom fitting, Bristol home owners should insist on the same high standards too. It is the same for another of the rooms most commonly remodelled too, namely the kitchen. It is essential that with regards the hired kitchen fitter, Bristol home owners have vetted them carefully before offering them the contract.

It may seem quite obvious to state these things, but it is surprising how many examples of low standard work is accepted by a typical home owner, some of whom are not really aware of where the weak points lie. But the fact is that projects on the interior of a building are often more complex than the straightforward construction of an extension. Such indoor projects include loft conversions, of course.

When it comes to kitchens, for example, there are a host of issues that need to be addressed before a job can be completed fully and to the best possible standards. Of course, very often a new kitchen is part of a building extension in any case, with the room being expanded to house more extensive kitchen facilities. Often, the idea is to get the dream kitchen that the family always wanted, complete with spacious work counters, and a sun drenched dining area thanks to the significantly glazed roof and walls.

However, such a project involves the construction of walls, the laying of floor tiles, the construction of a new roof and the installation of its glazing. Equally, there is the redirection of electrical wiring and plumbing. Then, new work tops must be put together and installed, ovens and fridge freezers need to be housed in perfectly measured spaces, and a gas supply may also need to be provided for, though this depends on the cooking fuel chosen.

Bathrooms are a little different and have particular issues of their own. The most immediate decision that home owners like to make is the particular style that the room will have. For some, a more contemporary feel is preferable while, for others, there is a more rustic feel desired. This can affect not just the style of the fittings, such as taps, sinks, doors, windows, showers and bathtubs, but also the decorative effects on the walls and ceilings.

However, while style and decor are certainly two important factors that can stamp the personality of the home owner on the room, there are also many practical and functional issues that need to be addressed. Often, the room itself may be too small to house all of the features that may be wanted, which raises a question of whether or not to extend the bathroom into a neighbouring space, such as a bedroom.

Also, the plumbing issues may mean that completely new plumbing would need to be installed. This would be of particular need should the decision to expand the bathroom be taken. However, it is worth considering the extent of this task.

All on all, a new or remodelled bathroom will require a large amount of work, incorporating several different facets, each of which need to be carefully tended to. There is, therefore, an increased risk of something going wrong should the aspects of the overall job be divided between different teams or contractors.

It is, in fact, much better to have one team working on all aspects from the very start of the project to the very end. In this way, there is no chance of some important detail slipping through the cracks, so to speak. This means that a loft conversions bristol project works for the same company as the bricklayer who built the walls of the extension that new kitchen is being housed in. Or, such as in the case of bathroom fitting Bristol home owners hire plumbers, fitters and electricians from the same contracting company.

kitchen fitter in a Bristol home owners should only ever turn to well known, reputable And remember that whether in regards to home extensions, or kitchen, bathroom or professionals to carry out the work.
